Stephen is the leading artist delivering Australian Indigenous Art workshops in the UK. He has been working in schools and communties for more than 20 years.
At the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra he found himself working alongside artists of indigenous descent, they introduced him to new way of looking at the environment. Soon after he had a residency at a museum in Bristol and worked with the Australian storyteller Francis Firebrace who encouraged him to use art workshops to help spread the story of the native Australians.
Since then Stephen has visited traditional sites and met their guardians to learn more about Australian culture and the art. He has a collection of artefacts and painting which he takes to schools to help inspire the children in their work.
